Yamuna weaves queer meaning into everything she creates. She builds a world where her community leads – not as subjects, but as co-creators. Her work is textile, fashion, performance, dance, protest, love. Everything glows. Everything moves. Everything belongs. Yamuna doesn’t just dream of a queer utopia. Yamuna makes it happen.

Yamuna Forzani (1993) is a multidisciplinary artist and queer activist whose practice is rooted in her community. Her work grows from the desire to build a queer utopia – a world where joy, care, and resistance co-exist. Her medium is textile, but her practice expands far beyond that: she creates performances, hosts events, stages catwalks and installations that connect fashion, dance, and activism.
Yamuna often works in collaboration with other artists, designers and collectives. Every piece becomes a shared celebration – of queer bodies, shared histories and radical futures.
