Koos celebrates what others might ignore. A plate of risotto. An overturned scooter. A water cooler that actually works. Koos recreates them in clay, life-sized, lumpy and full of character. His work feels both silly and sincere. That balance is key. He’s not trying to fool you with realism. Koos is asking you to look again.

Koos Buster (1991) lives and works in Amsterdam. After building his own museum for graduation, he kept doing things his own way. Over the years, more people found his work. Through group shows, solo presentations and residencies. Koos continues to explore new ideas in clay, often starting with a rough sketch and ending with something bold, funny and deeply familiar.
